Hi Member 62,

We are still in the process of fabricating our rudder crank.  We have converted over all the metric fasteners to AN-standard aircraft grade hardware, a standard here in the States.  We are planning to fix the crank to the rudder with (3) AN3 bolts which are 3/16" OD (4.7 mm).  I also misread the drawing at first.  I mistook the radius bend of 6mm for a 6mm fastener.  So, I think we are supposed to use M5 bolts here.

I mentioned in an earlier post that we are using 1/2" blue foam ribs in the tail, capped with 3/32" X 1/2" capstrips. We are using a CNC routing machine to cut out all the ribs.  So, we will not be needing to use any gussets on any of tail ribs.  You could probably make a simple punch out of a piece of thin-walled pipe.

I tried to post some photos of our blue foam ribs, but it seems our forum here does not accept attachments. Too bad.
