I think it all depends on the weight of the pilot. At 90Kg I expect to need
to add some lead in the tail. The drawings include a formula for calculating
this.
Also adding an engine and batteries will take the stresses outside the
design parameters and need some clever modifications to address this.
I have seen the pictures of the crashed pylon mounted ULF. It happened to a
pilot in the South of France about 10 years ago. The glider wouldn't gain
take off speed because the nose kept digging in. His elderly friend tried to
help by leaning down on the tail plane as it gained speed but he couldn't
run fast enough. The glider gained enough speed to cause a more violent nose
in. The added momentum caused the pylon to break off its rear mounting
pivoting the engine prop and all just behind the pilots head. The whole lot
swung forward over the pilots head and the prop chopped into the nose of the
glider cutting the pilots foot.

I believe I read about a pylon powered ULF (maybe the one pictured?) that
had a hard time taking off and the pylon ripped off and tipped forward and
the prop sliced the guy's foot. I recall a comment on the article that if
had been a tractor instead of a pusher it would've been a lot worse.
But then I could be wrong and it wasn't even a ULF, but I think it was.
I've been curious by inside the cockpit photos that show up to the nose what
appears to be a good size chunk of lead in the nose for balance. First, if
that is the case, seems like the nose should be lengthened a bit and move
the pilot forward a bit to save the weight, but two, if it is lead, it could
be a motor instead. Maybe electric motor with folding prop.
