Hey Member 4.
You might want to get a copy of your Canadian regs before you move ahead. Things have become more strict since 911 here in the US of A and I expect in Canada too. The legal weight limit is determined by the empty weight of the aircraft here. Your weight is only a concern where it affects the design weight limit which is set by the manufacturer. As far as fitting in the airplane, I intend to try to find one to sit in to make sure I'm going to be comfortable for any length of time. I might also suggest that you consider joining a club and getting your Private Pilot Glider rating just to give you the experience and skill level necessary to fly gliders safely. It ain't for everybody. But those of us who do it are completely addicted. Good luck and welcome to the group.
