[ULF-1] Canadian onboard

Hello all,

Doug thank you for the welcome, it's nice to be onboard. I'm new to  
the ULF-1 design and the idea of constructing ones own aircraft. I  
have plenty of aircraft flying time with helicopters, twin engine and  
sailplanes, but, alas official qualified for none. I'm across the big  
pond, situated in Canada's capital city - Ottawa. A few soaring clubs  
are within easy commute and there is an active EAA chapter. It's not  
uncommon to see airplanes sitting in the barns of local farms.

I'm contemplating the ULF-1 design, but, before moving forward I'm  
looking into Canadian regulations. My limited understanding  
recognizes that there is a 100 lb. [ultra-light] glider weight limit,  
so, it looks like the ULF-1 only regulatory option is the  
airworthiness certificate process.

I'm slightly over 6' tall and also have been know to weight more than  
the the max. allowable pilot weight of 90 kg. Eating less is doable,  
not sure what to do with my legs, though I suspect I would be quite  
okay with the current cockpit accommodations of 1.85 m.
