[ULF-1] Questions on Build Guide (translations)

Some of the terms are unfamiliar to me or require more precise definition. What is meant by “impregnation” in the context of the instructions on page 7, paragraph about assembling the torsion nose of the wing. Is this just sealing of the Member 60 with varnish or epoxy? 

On page 3, context planing the spar caps, it says the cap edges are not to be chambered. Is this supposed to read chamfered? I’m not familiar with chambering Member 60 except for in luthery which I’m positive is not what’s being described here. 

I’m familiar with a lot of modern carpentry, but I’m excited to learn how to use more classical woodworking tools as well. Would anyone care to share their preferred brand for a bench plane and a fine toothed plane, and perhaps any advice for upkeep and tuning.
