Hi Johannes,

We are here in the States and are building S.N. 343E.  We are 3/4 done on building all the components, and are now getting ready to glue the ribs onto the back side of the sheeted d-box wing spars.  There is a German ultralight sailplane blog that has detailed some of our progress and modifications.

We built our airframe using Sitka spruce obtained mostly from Aircraft Spruce.  They cut all our cap strip material to metric dimensions.  All the Member 60 is guaranteed aircraft quality, 8-12% moisture content, averaging about 9 annular rings per inch.  We have had to reject very little material.  Sitka spruce is recommended in the plans, will not require any dimensional modifications to save weight, and is the lightest.  It might, however, be expensive to ship to Austria.  Josh Solis at Aircraft Spruce will handle your order and make sure it is cut to metric dimensions.  It will be shipped from Georgia.  He can be reached at [email]
