[ULF-1] Build Considerations

Hello. I am new to the discussion group and I am considering a ULF-1 project. I have read many of the threads here and they inspire a few questions. What are most of the builders cutting out your parts with? CNC? Those that used the blue foam for the ribs, did it work and substantially cut down on build time?
