Hi Diego, It’s a long way off for me too but from what I have seen, I think nowadays, stainless steel can be used for all the metal parts.

 

I will check with Mr Josef Stumpel (he and his brother built an ULF each and he is a friend of the designer).

Hi!

I think that the most difficul part of the construction is the 12 mm. steel rivet and the wing and fuselage attachment.

Do you have any photo of the process involved in the construction?

Also, If you look at the plans is said "steel zink plated", I 'm planning tu buy 4130 steel tube (1/2 " .058/1,47 mm. or .063/1,6 mm. wall thickness) from Aircraft Spruce, USA, but In the description doesn't said anithing about zink plated. Do you think that this material is ok for riveting?
