If your interested in the Super Floater, check out the Goat. http://home.att.net/~m-sandlin/goat.htm It has a free download so you can inspect the plans. Plans for free.... you cant beat that! The Goat 2 is close to the Super Floater, the Goat 4 uses more wires and reminds me more of the basic glidrs of the 20's and 30's. Compaired with time invested to build, it looks like a great start. The "Basic Gliders" might be a great way to start and get in the air, but the ULF-1 not only would have a better glide ratio, but just looks better! A recent magazine I seen, I believe they listed the glide ratio of the Goat to be 15/1, and I think the ULF-1 is talking 16 or even 18 to 1. Total weight and glide speeds are very similar on both, so I would think the ability to penitrate might be about the same, but I'm no expert. I'm also interested to hear what Mr. Goringer says about the build time. Talking to people that have built the MiniMax, a plane that is "built up" very much like the ULF-1, they are saying anything from 650 to 1000 hours total. (manufactures state 350+ hours.... ya RIGHT!)
