Welcome to the ULF-1 list: Member 9, Member 3, Member 2, Member 7, Member 5, Member 16, Member 25 Shakespeare and George Member 8!
I am embarassed and apologize for not posting a welcome message until now... I
was unaware that anyone had subscribed because an important setting was not in
place to allow your list administrator (me) to receive the automatic notices.
That has been corrected now, so thank you for subscribing and welcome.
I'll say a little about myself to get the discussion going... I live in
Lawrence, KS, USA. I'm a private pilot, ultralight and weight-shift hang
glider pilot. My personal web site is www.questiongravity.com. I'm a partner
in a small hang gliding aerotow and instruction company here in Kansas,
Adventure AirSports (www.adventureairsports.com). We tow with a Bailey-Moyes
Dragonfly. I've been involved in a number of homebuilt projects, and have
worked professionally in the development and fabrication of composite aircraft
and avionics installation. Next week I begin a new career in the development
of UAVs and related technologies.
I'm addicted to soaring, but would prefer to sit back and have 3-axis control.
I wish to build a sailplane that I can tow behind our Dragonfly, and perhaps
even foot-launch at hang gliding sites. I have the ULF-1 plans, and am waiting
for my life to slow down and get less crazy so I can consider beginning the
project. So at the moment my airplane building is on hold, but I am happy to
host this list to help foster interest and involvement in ULF-1 construction.
I hope others will share some information about themselves, their location,
and their interest in the ULF-1.
Kind regards,
