I want to share that I started the new GROUPS.IO forum as an emergency quick measure in case we were in danger of losing it all.
Currently the program we are subscribed to is free and that allows unlimited messages among no more than one hundred members.
There is also NO storing of photos in albums or the ability to archive files of all data types like database files or spreadsheet files or word procecssing
files as well as CAD and Video etc. In order to have the ability to create and store photo albums etc calanders, files etc the annual FEE is $240 per year. That is not a lot of many pitch in ..... We will just have to see how things unfold. Again it was an emergency action and am glad so many
have signed up. I agree with Dwight that it would be very nice if we could maintain the current program as it seems to work pretty well except for
sharing of photos but with a little research I think we can find a photo sharing host site ( like google, amazon, shutterfly, photo bucket etc )
where we could build a big library of relavent images.
I think it would be a good idea to research DreamHost and contact them to see what their future looks like and compare with other opportunities
available to us. BTW. the reason why I jumped on the GROUPS.IO is that about two dozen forum groups I was on at YAHOO GROUPS migrated
to GROUPS.io when YAhoo shut down and they all seem to be doing pretty well.
It is important that everyone understands that it is a BAD idea for small fractions of members to go off in different directions.
We want to STAY TOGETHER. So for the time being, lets use Dougs list server for messaging and we will hold the GROUPS.IO
as an emergency backup plan "B"

Doug's brother, Dwight, here. I've been trying to map Doug's various websites and domains. (And I'm certainly no website guru!). Here's what I know: ulf-1.com is registered at GoDaddy, and the website is [email]. I don't see how it works (no web guru!) but the list serve appears to be hosted at DreamHost as well.
I'm fairly confident that someone with a little bit of web-savvy could get both transferred to their name/the site/host of their choosing, and everything could keep on running as it has been with no need to make changes (ulf-1 is still getting requests to join every day or two, so there's an audience out there that might get lost in a change to a new site).
I'd be willing to give permission to anyone who figures out how to make the necessary transfers of control with GoDaddy and DreamHost. Contact me at [email]

There are three hundred subscribers to this ULF-1 message bulliten board
any member can see the specific email addresses of all other members by going here
http://lists.ulf-1.com/listinfo.cgi/ulf-1-ulf-1.com It is easy to copy all these email addresses and I have done so.
There is also an archive of ALL the messages going back to 2007 . I need some help from someone more computer
savy than myself to figure out how to download or copy these messages for future reference. These are hundreds
of messages concerning building techniques and shortcuts and explanations of difficult to understand aspects of
the plane etc.
Please everyone take a look and see if you can figure out a way to get all these past messages into one digital type
book that can always be available to future builders.
