Dear Professor Member 64,
i´m writing you from Germany and i like to purchase your ULF1 for very specific reasons. Today i work as a special needs teacher in a small town in the middle of nowhere with kids from 7th to 10th grade. I´m responsible for the woodworking class and work mainly with the "difficult" students. 
In my perception our students aren´t that difficult. It´s just that the standard curriculum at our school isn´t the right thing for them. We need something different for them and i know very well how much the dream of flight can empower Member 137 people.Before becoming a teacher i worked for over 10 years as an aircraft restorer for wooden aircraft at Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin. During that time i took part in our museums outreach program. In my case it meant going into one of the toughest neighbourhoods i could find in Berlin- Kreuzberg. The basic idea was very simple. I wanted to know how much power truely is in the dream of flight and if it is strong enough to turn around a Banlieue.Instead of "Who´s the best thieve?" i wanted to ask "Whom of you is a pilot?" which is exactly what i did on the streets around Moritzplatz.In the end i had a dozen kids aged 13 to 20 years old who were interested in the project. The deal was that they had to work at least 80 hours in our workshop to build an ULF1 glider and in exchange they would earn the right to take part in the yearly flying course of Akaflieg Berlin for free.I accounted for that right from the start since it appeared stupid to me to build a glider without the possibility of flying it by yourself.In the end 6 of the kids got through and they learned to fly at Akaflieg Berlin´s airfield in Kammermark/Brandenburg. 
The funny thing was that during the two weeks of flying courses the students, postdocs and engineers of Akaflieg Berlin and my street kids inspired each other. Basically the students, postdocs and engineers of Akaflieg Berlin learned a lot of dirty words from my street kids and in exchange my street kids learned a lot about reasoning from Akaflieg Berlin.It made my life difficult later on. Friday evenings were always reserved for cleaning up our workshop and after we came back from the flying course i suddenly had to deal with arguments from the kids like: "That´s below my niveau!". Luckily i´m a quick thinker and was able to counterattack that argument with: "But God want you the clean up the workshop!" which worked in the end.Therefore everything was fine till New Years Eve [phone]. We nearly had finished the plane and i had entrusted one of the kids with the keys to our workshop in advance. Unknown to me they made a party in our workshop on New Years Eve which resulted in a lot of complaints from the neighbours.The result was that we not only lost the workshop, we also lost the plane since we dont had the possibillity to store it somewhere else. We had to give it away to another flying club and it still bothers me. I never had "unfinished" an airplane before.I will pay for your plane out of my own pocket for above mentioned reasons and will donate it to my school since i already know that something good will come out of it. Since i´m not rich i wanted to ask if i can split the payment into two installments of 750€ each within two months.Of course the plane would stay in your possession until fully paid.

PS:I met one of my "street kids" ten years later by happy accident. Samet was 23 now, newly married and told me that he was a student of structural engineering in his fourth semester at Technical University Berlin. He also made me a compliment for my turkish language skills and therefore i knew that all my work had made sense in the end. Then i cried a little bit.
