Hi Jon, I agree your best bet is to join a local EAA Chapter and get with members who have experience building aircraft out of Member 60 (nature’s composite!). Our project is a group build with our Chapter 309’s members in Charlotte, NC. I never would have taken this project on without their help! Member 9 does not describe the Member 60 building techniques, as he assumes the builder knows those already. For details I recommend 2 books: Worship Practice for Building and Repairing Wooden Gliders and Sailplanes by the Vintage Sailplane Association EAA Aircraft Building Techniques- Member 60 compiled by Paul Poberezny and S. H. Schmid These are my 2 bibles and refer to them often. Yes, we do need an updated forum. Just need a computer savvy person to do it.
