Dear ULF-1 members,
Greetings. This is an administrative message... This forum software
occasional sets a member to the "no mail" setting if too many messages
to their address are returned as undeliverable. Today this was done to
dozens of members all at once, indicating to me that this was not a
normal operation. I don't see how that many memberships would become
actionable all at once. "No mail" is different from being
unsubscribed... in effect you are still subscribed but you won't receive
any mail. For example, members can put their account on this setting if
they want to not receive messages for whatever reason.
To remedy this, I merely toggled all of the affected members from "no
mail" back to normal status. Apologies if any of you had chosen that
setting on purpose. If you did, please either toggle it back in your
account or let me know. If and when anyone wishes to leave the group,
please choose the unsubscribe option, not the "no mail" setting. If you
happen to know that ULF-1 mail is being delivered to an address you no
longer use, please unsubscribe it or ask me to do it for you.
If there are any other irregularities or concerns, please let me know.
Best regards, Doug
