Hello All,

Well, I'm going to share with you my research on the GL1 Plywood ....

#Colin

Actually in portugal is the multiplacas, that sells the Koskisen birch plywood, believe it or not, did not even know what was GL1, if they check the catalog, it is mentioned that by request, they provide GL1, so I understand that nobody in portugal had requested GL1, until now ;)

They only have the thicknesses 0.4mm-1mm-1.5mm -... have never had orders for 0.6mm or 0.8mm

At this time, I await the supply of the first order of plywood from fribe.aero, but 0.6mm, only Tim (https://www.aircraftplywoodandtimber.co.uk/birch-plywood.html) has in stock.
Due to a high number of damaged orders when shipped out of the UK Tim told me that he had available, he sent a quote, but was soon honest saying that if i wanted to buy, it would have to be me, to take care a transport for the plywood, so this is also solved because i have a cousin living in UK so they buy the plywood and send to Portugal
inside a PVC pipe to protect the plywood.
Only the 0,6mm is GL1, the other thicknesses was SATco

https://www.laboisserolle.fr/aviation.html <https://www.laboisserolle.fr/aviation.html> only have availability for more than 1mm thicknesses, not less, and i need now 0,6mm-0,8mm and 1mm.

Now I’m looking for supplier for the spruce, for the spar, at this moment i only have aircraftspruce Europe ( Sandelving aerospace) , i contact by email several potencial suppliers in France, UK and Netherlands, but unanswered, by some.
Any info for potencial suppliers for spruce are welcome (in Europe)

I already have 2 bargain bags of spruce supplied from aircraftspruce for the ribs and fuselage parts.

Although the construction manual indicates the beginning of spar construction, since I do not have spruce for the construction of the spar, I will start with the ribs, it means that I have a lot of time ahead, during the construction of the ribs to deal with the spruce supply for to the Spar.

Thanks All

Best Regards
