Hi Austin,

This one time I recommend you NOT do what we tried with enlarging the drawings to full size.  Although Dieter’s plans drawing are very good, when one blows them up to full scale, like we did for the tail spars, errors creep in, and they become inaccurate.  We had to hand draw out the corrections over the blowups to keep all the dimensions true.  This was a pain.  It would have been cheaper and quicker just to hand draw to full scale on white paper to start with!  This is what we did on the rest of the assemblies.  We pinned these drawings down to a flat building board with thumb tacks, covered with wax paper, and built over that—just like a big model plane kit!

Which brings me to me next nagging question: is the loft line drawing printed on a stable medium? It looks and feels like regular copy paper, is the purpose of using it as the control to standardize any irregularity in dimensional stability, ie everyone’s playing. 1/4 step off to the same tuning fork?
