I spent a long time trying work out how to make a bench long and flat enough to build the wing spars and D box on. One day the penny dropped that a 5 metre ladder would do it. Obviously needs a wooden platform on top but the ladder acts as the reliable straight and flat frame underneath. You can see it in my pic. Think carefully before you commit to this. I have been working on this project for 7 years and will be going for at least another 3. Also consider how you will insure it and how and where you will launch it.
