Hi Jose,

We are an Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 309 near Charlotte, NC doing a team build of the ULF-1.  We are 4 years into the project and have built the all the airframe components except the ailerons.  We just started on the ailerons 2 weeks ago.  We have just finished the design specs. for the power system: 2, 4.5-5 kW motors in pusher configuration on the trailing edge of each wing, counter-rotating propellers that fold backward with the slip stream.  We will easily have 5-6k dollars into the airframe with at least that much for the power system and batteries.  We have decided NOT to use R/C model components for the power system.  We will use large R/C servos for the wing spoilers and R/C sensors for the instruments, however. Member 104 has a blog on our project in Germany.
