Bob, I feel your pain concerning the FAA. I own a couple aircraft but
since we don't use our planes for travel they are costly and used just for
flying the local area. I looked at the ULF 1 and better the 2 for Motorglider
operations but I find this aircraft interesting, fast to build, inexpensive,
built with common hand tools without the accuracy required by most
aircraft, can be put in a trailer or pickup and there are a few with engines which
for us flat landers make the glider more sense. http://m-sandlin.info/
I have followed this site for a while and thanks for the work put into it
for our pleasure.

Hi
Thanks for all of the feedback. The problem is resolved and as usual I was
doing something
incorrectly. I thought there would be a lot of activity here. I have been
out of aviation for over
20 years and now that I am retired I find I am getting interested again. I
am looking into
ultralights because of my desire to avoid all dealings with the faa and
the govt. I am so tired
of jumping through hoops. It takes all of the enjoyment out of a project.
Anyway, the ULF1
looks like a nice plane. Anyone have a project they want to sell?

Hi Bob, There was some talk about the administrator wanting to give up his
Yahoo account and an invite for anyone else to take it over. This was all
around Christmas time and I have heard no more since. I do wonder if this
is
something to do with your problem.
Can anyone up-date me as to whether a new administrator has taken over the
Yahoo ULF group please?

Hello
I'm sorry but I don't know what "gnoring non-text/plain MIME parts
Invalid confirmation string" means. I would like to log into and read
material in the archive but when I try to it says "authentication
failed"
What do I need to do?
Thanks

This is not a YAHOO group so your comments do not apply. ? ?There is a
link at the very bottom of the
message that leads you to the list service and archives for this group

Ken is correct, the Yahoo group is a totally different entity, and I have
not seen a
post to it for many months (years?). If there has been activity on the
Yahoo group,
someone please let me know, that would mean I have been unsubscribed
somehow.
In the meantime, new ULF-1 list member Bob has remedied his problems
getting into
the archives. Sorry there isn't more for you to review there, Bob. There
hasn't been
much activity in ULF-1 land. How about it guys? Has there been any
building in the
past year? Those with projects, please give us an update on your
situation. All of
you new members who are just lurking (and there are many), consider a post
to the
group to tell us a little about yourself and your interest in the ULF-1.
I've spent the past year single-handedly building a barn/workshop on 5
acres in the
country, and after years of not having a suitable workshop for airplane
building,
finally have one. But the bulk of my energies are now invested in learning
how to
homestead, produce food, and become more self-sufficient. I came across my
ULF-1
plans in the move, and look forward to spreading them out again on my new
work table
and considering starting some tail feathers or something.
As for this forum, the one endorsed/supported by Member 9 and graced
by his
presence on occasion, I am happy to continue in my role as manager and
administrator.
Happy new year, everyone, and sorry I'm so late in saying it.
