Subject: [ULF-1] Questions about Fuselage Construction
Dear ULF-1 Builders,
Our EAA Chapter 309 Group Build Team has finished all the tail feathers on our ULF-1 and they are hung up in our workshop, staring down at us!
We are starting on the fuselage next. We have several questions for the group:
1. What thickness of plywood is used for the fuselage gussets?
2. Where the 2 upper longerons are slit at the tail, what thickness of plywood is glued into this slit where the longerons bend to meet at the tail? How long should this slit be?
3. Does anyone here in the U.S. have a good source of hard and medium density balsa cut to mm dimensions?
Many thanks for your help.
