I am a professional boat builder in Miami and have used RESORCINAL over the 
years. It was the first waterproof glue that had tremendous strength. Two things 
you should be aware of:
      1) take precautions not to inhale it or get it into cuts.

       2) your joints have to be absolutely perfect and require very good 
clamping pressure. Typical 

            example that you might recognize are scarfs in spruce masts on 
sailboats which are difficult to 

            find if done correctly.

     My advice is to use a high quality liquid epoxy with an additive to thicken 
it. You can contact West
     Epoxy for their advice since boats don't fly.

Thanks, Ron.  It looks like I will abandon my search for this glue in favor of 
alternatives such as polyurethane, resorcinol, and epoxies.
