I agree, I am a member of 248 groups and I moderate two others in
addition to the ULF-1 group. Just register under a fake name, use the
resulting yahoo email address for group communications only, and any
spam you get will be isolated to that email address and that one only,
if it is a concern. I average about 3 spam messages a day in my Yahoo
spam mailbox, and maybe two or three a week get past the spam filter
and end up in my inbox. That's less than I get with my "real" email,
and remember I am a member of 248 yahoo groups.

After getting a Yahoo account, it's just a question of signing up and waiting to be approved. Dead simple.
I'm really mystified at your negative view of yahoo, I have no idea what makes you think that Yahoo sells your data to spammers.

Guys, You just lost me. Yahoo's BUSINESS is to collect your personal data, then pimp your tail to spammers. PERIOD! Bad idea going there. It's a shame. You have to register with them to read a single word or see a picture. I wanted to learn more before buying some plans/prints. The ULF-1 looks like a fun build for my father and I. My father has been an I.A. (U.S. F.A.A. Inspection Authorization) for 54 years and would like to build a Member 60 aircraft that's not big. And I (A.P. 22 years) would like to build a foot launchable glider. The ULF- 1 would be fantastic, and Dieter may still sell me some plans. It's with sadness that I will be leaving your group less than 24 hours from joining it.
