JF,
The very first thing you need to know is that your wife doesn't make mistakes and she HAS to be an absolutely wonderful person. She is about to allow you to "escape" to the garage for the better part of 1500 hours or more. And she seems to be doing this for you with a joyous heart. It doesn't get any better than that my friend.
She also writes beautifully Good luck with your project.

make it to the list). I can't tell why it bounced. Doug)
Dear Sirs
As a newcomer among you, I project to build a ULF-1 within the next
three years. The actual putting together of the bits and pieces should
start by November 2008.
At first, I considered building a ? Carbon Dragon ?, but I realized it
would be beyond my reach as a first plane to build. Moreover, I'm not
one for top performances at all cost, and will be content with flying ,
be it on board a more sedate type of aircraft, and furrowing the sky,
borne on good-willed ascendencies.
I already have some experience of gliding ( with an ASK 13, the look of
which is rather akin to that of the ULF-1, and I prefer it to more
modern types.
I'm a greenhorn as far as plane-building is concerned, having so far
limited myself to building small boats, therefore, I feel both excited
and a little worried about the venture.
Thanks a lot to Member 12 for his photos which gave me a good insight
into how things should be done at that level.
I will probably ask for the help of those among you ( numerous I think)
who have gathered knowledge about building that glider.
I look forward to the pleasure of hearing from you
