Dieter,
I think that is a very generous offer and you can count me in immediatly. Hopefully, others will follow suit and we can get some excitement generated within the group. I don't know if you saw the film we've been talking about just recently with excerpts of a bungee launch, but I have a feeling that may light some fires among the group. Thanks for the generous assistance and let's see what happens with the group.

I still haven't figured out why Dieter can't post. Apologies, I'm working on it.

Hello Steve,
thanks for your accurate analysis of the current situation, and your pro-ULF-1
statements.
30 years ago, in Nov. 1977, ULF-1 went into the air for the first time. A plan
pack could be purchased for DM 440.00 (eq. to Euro 220.00) or USD 190.00. This
price was kept constant for 30 years. In 2001, when the Euro was implemented,
you could still buy the plans for USD 190.00. Since then as you might know,
the Dollar value dropped by almost 40 percent to an all time low.
To get things moving, I can offer a special ANIVERSARY price for the hole plan
pack of Euro 150.00, which is about USD 200.00 using the today`s exchange
rate. In addition the plans will be "enriched" with photos of details which
help the builders to get a better understanding of the drawings as Doug
suggested earlier.
Tell me what you think about it.
Dieter

Hi, I?m from Argentina. I?ve the ULF-1 plan set #205.
I do not started to built the ULF-1 yet. I?m now interested in vintage glider and plan to buy a Grunau Baby III.
The main difficult for me is to import the proper materials to get the correct weight and strength.
The only difficult part of the construction is the wing spar and torsion box (?D?). The rest is like build a model airplane. This is my impression from the detailed study of the plans.
Regards,
Diego del Alamo

Sorry Member 10, I seem to have misplaced that link...I'll keep looking though, it's worth seeing. I got the link from one of the other ultralight lists (I think Ultralight Soaring) but I'll have to go into some archives to find out.

There was an errant space in your link, Steve, before the r in dragon, or
something like that. Once I fixed that it still didn't work properly for me,
so I backed up a directory or two in the address bar and found the listings. I
downloaded the file, but haven't watched it yet!

Hi Diego,
what is your impression of the plans? Are they well
laid-out? Easy to read?
Also, since this is a list for ULF-1, I'd like to ask
you for some links to the Grunau in private.
Another thing that I'd like to ask is if the plans are
transferable from one person to another (as in regular
selling, that is).
Thank you.

It seems the email got mangled. You need to trim out all the
whitespace, as follows:
