This town is 50 miles south of San Francisco, California next to San Jose in the South Bay.
We are about 10 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean at the base of the coastal range opposite the ocean side.
I know of no one here building a foot launch glider.
I do know there is a guy named Danny in Southern California who has built a $250,000 foot launch glider that may or may not now be foot launchable.  He comes often to the western workshop in Tehachipi of the Experimental Sailplane Builders Association.t will 

My self, I only am a interested on looker who once started building a Mitchel Wing B 10 rigid wing hangglider.

I love the idea of a footlauched glider and the ULF-1.  At some point I will buy the plans.  Unfortunately I heard the glider is rather complex to build.

Hope to be seeing discussions from many of you relating to this and similar gliders

Hopefully we will become much more familiar with each other soon through this 
discussion list, but all we know right now is that we're all interested in 
foot-launch gliders like the ULF-1. It would be nice if I could list 
everyone's location when I send out the "New list member" updates, so please 
send me your location. It would also be nice to know a little bit about the 
new members. Some of us have shared a little about ourselves in previous 
messages that can be viewed in the list archive.

I live in Lawrence, Kansas, USA, right in the middle of the US continent. 
Where do you live? Is there any ULF-1 building activity in your area that 
you're aware of? Is anyone building anything?
